I am over from England for the Cricket 🤦. Spending a few days on the Gold Coast & played 2.5 hours at Currumbin in pairs @ 3.5 / 4.3 level organised by Kylie. Everyone very welcoming & sociable. 8 Courts good surface. Think it was relaid in June. Would recommend highly.

The people leaving 1-star ratings are absolutely sick in the head. GC pickleball and their legendary volunteers make playing pickleball accessible every single day for locals like myself Thank you GC Pickleball

We booked an hour on court 1 and the confirmation and entrance details were sent to me. We showed up and found the code we entered required a # after it. We tried again but it appears it only works one time. There was no one present or a number to call. Another party showed up and also had trouble but later the door release worked. They let us in, thankfully. Then we and they, began a search, in our case, for a ball to play with, as we had brought paddles. They had not and they continued to search. We found one ball and began playing on the court we had booked. I wondered if the ball developed a crack we would need to stop. A admin arrived after 20 minutes and I explained that we had a problem and no balls, just one. He did not acknowledge the difficulty, and stated we needed to book the paddle and balls. I stated we had paddle and he said we had to book the balls. I said there was no mention of ball hire on the website. ( all good feedback). He replied several times ‘ we are fully booked’, as if that was my issue. They were not fully booked until we were finishing up. We were not offered any additional ball, just the one we found. Long story short. The code has a #, so include that in the confirmation email, there should always be someone present or contactable (especially if they are fully booked, and if they do not supply balls to actually say that in the confirmation email.

Found this club to be wanting in many areas : We booked online before we left home from interstate , where we play regularly. The things we found about the GC PB: * There was no one to greet us , just simply a PIN number to get on the courts, forcing us to look around the place , trying to get in & wasting valuable time & money. * No paddles or pickle balls available for use. * The courts are average, with huge cracks on the surface . This makes it dangerous for players & also if the ball lands on the crack, it changes its trajectory . * Finally it was a very windy day , making it difficult to play , due to the change in direction of the wind enhancing the balls pathway . Would never recommend this place to play - do better GC
