I started playing last April- after the 1st try, I wasn’t quite sure but then went back for a second go and now am totally addicted to this game. Manningham is such a friendly welcoming club - I have met so many new friends here. I love that it is indoor- so not dependent on Melbourne’s weather!! All I can say is- come and try for yourself. It is awesome!

No photos I'm afraid but I had a magnificent time. I've never played before but used to play tennis, squash and table tennis many years ago. The rules are pretty easy to understand, the scoring was a little tricky, but I've never been one to really care too much as I just like the fun of it all. It's a great game, the rules level the playing field so that it doesn't rely too much on your skill level. It's a great way to meet people in a casual atmosphere, even if you're a little shy like me. I went on my own and met up with an older couple that are very dear friends. I think John is about 80 but his tactics certainly made hime quite unbeatable. Sneaky tactics really can be brought to the table in this game, usually overcoming brute force. I live a fair way away (nearly 2 hrs)so sadly won't be back very often unless I meet someone special in the area. It's a great game, for all ages and skill levels. I highly recommend it. Oh, and it's indoors with terrific facilities, so no matter the weather outside, it's very nice in. All the best Rob

Fantastic Pickleball Club – Highly Recommended! We've been going to the pickleball sessions on Friday nights in Eltham, and it’s been an absolute pleasure! This club is incredibly friendly and welcoming, with players at all different skill levels, so there’s always someone to play with and learn from. The club provides paddles for borrowing, which is great for beginners. The atmosphere is always lively, supportive, and fun – a perfect way to spend an evening. I would 100% recommend this club to anyone interested in trying pickleball or looking to join a great community of players!

I really appreciate the way that the leaders of this club go out of their way to make new players welcome. Yesterday the president spent considerable time with my daughter and granddaughter explaining the game, practicing dinks, ground shots and serving, and also playing a couple of short games with them. He certainly went far beyond the 'second mile' to explain and demonstrate each aspect so clearly. After that orientation, they were ready to join the social group and loved it! Thanks so much Mr President! I appreciate your great care and commitment.
