Has any one watched Matilda? Do you remember Ms Trunchball the horrible principal? Let me introduce you to the Blackwood Rec Centre Supervisor. My god she is an angry individual. Told me off for taking a photo of my child. I get it. Other kids out there but then proceeded to eye ball me in an attempt to intimidate me for the rest of my son’s basketball game. Get a grip lady. You’re meant to be happy. Have a glass of happiness. I watched you scold the young kid doing the referees job, I watched you scold the lad working behind the counter. And then I got the pleasure of interacting with you. You’re so rude. You need to go do a course on customer service and ethical behaviour. And to think you’re the one that sends out the emails about civil behaviour. Walk down to the bathroom and have a long hard look at yourself in the mirror because you’re so unprofessional, rude and simply shouldn’t be working in that position. Power tripping Karen. Kids love the activities such as kinder gym and gymnastics. Heaps of social sports to join in on. Here is a video of inline hockey which is great. Since parents can't join the gymnastics sessions, I recommend joining the gym so you can keep active. There is a great Cafe as well.

Extremely disappointed with Blackwood Recreation Center. The inline hockey program was permanently canceled with absolutely no notice to the players, families, or community. Many of us have supported this program for years, and to end it so abruptly without communication is completely unprofessional and disrespectful to everyone who relied on it. This isn’t how you treat a loyal group that brought energy, fun, and value to your facility. Poor management and zero transparency.

Great place to roller skate, its wide plenty of room to move,great for all levels of skaters.

I have been a few times, mainly Saturday and the workers have been extremely helpful and friendly. Specifically the female died hair worker and the blond hair male worker. They have taught me tricks and the basics of how to skate. I will be returning when I can.
