This is the free public pickleball court at Wattle Reserve on the Esplanade at Hove, run by the City of Holdfast Bay. A former half-court tennis area was resurfaced with new acrylic, fenced, and fitted with a permanent, pickleball-appropriate net to create one full-size outdoor court. Anyone can play, with no booking or hire fee, on a first-come basis, so bring your own paddles and balls. The court has no lighting, so play is limited to daylight hours. The wider reserve offers free parking, public toilets, BBQ and picnic areas, shade, and a playground.
