Project Pickleball is a fun, welcoming spot to learn and play in Hughes. The team here, led by Frank, really knows their stuff and makes you feel comfortable whether you've never picked up a paddle before or you're getting serious about the game. First-timers can pick up the basics in minutes and be having actual rallies pretty quickly.

The courts are standard and well-maintained, and there's a coffee machine on site if you need a caffeine hit between games. They also sell paddles and equipment in-house, so you can grab what you need without having to go anywhere else. The vibe is relaxed and low-pressure, which is part of what makes it special.

Open most days from 9am, with extended hours on Thursday nights until 7pm. Saturday and Sunday sessions run from midday and 11am. It's rated 5 out of 5 stars on Google, and players consistently mention how friendly and knowledgeable the staff are.

Great experience and vibe! I’ve never played a racket sport before but the coaches showed we all the basics in a way that was easy to apply. In 15 minutes I was able to have fun rally’s and a laugh with them. Plus points on having a coffee machine and I should have stayed for that beer. Hello summer sport. Don’t tell my better half but I bought a paddle from the shop before leaving. Cool place.

It’s a fun and innovative version of tennis! Everything about it is modified, the court is half the size, the bats are shorter with a hard face and the ball bounces low. The rules are easy but be careful of the ‘kitchen’ I had a hit at Frank’s promo day with my family and had a ball! 🎾🎾 😂 thanks Frankie! ❤️❤️

A great time playing Pickleball last week at the North Woden/RSTA tennis club! Thanks to Frank and the team for bringing this great initiative to the courts. Awesome fun! A mix of ping pong and tennis! Heaps of laughs! 👍

I highly recommend this business. Frank and the teams service was second to none. I was completely impressed by not only the facilities but also the knowledge and friendly nature of the staff. I was also able to purchase all our families new equipment in the one location
