UPDATE: I have changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars based on an informative reply to my original review by the managers of the facility. It appears courts 1 and 2 ONLY are available for FREE Court Hire to play basketball during the following times: - Weekdays - 3pm til sundown - Weekends - All Day - School Holidays - All Day I could find no information on this FREE time on the website and I could not find a way to book a FREE court. Indeed the website says a 'casual user' is $60 per hour for Basketball hire at all times. I will pop over during these FREE times and see if I can access the courts 1 and 2, or if they are locked. ================================== Great facilities for a local public, rate payer funded redeveloped park....if you pay for them. The local and state government paid a massive cost to upgrade them and now you have to book a court to use them for anything! The cost for a basketball court is $60 an hour. What local kid is going to go down and shoot hoops at $60 an hour? So it's not really for casual/local play for kids. There is a free half court near the Ramsgate shops, but for $45 an hour you can book a half court at the Hurstville Leisure Centre stadium. The stadium entry cost is even less if the child just wants to casually shoot hoops. The local council missed an opportunity to at least make one of the courts open and free for local kids to use casually. I am not blaming the Sports Management group that are contracted to provide a service. So sure go and book a court if you want guaranteed uninterrupted access because every time I go past no one is using the courts.

The basketball courts have low rings, are off centre and rotated. Have contacted the organisation and no replies, even about events they are running. As for the response below, I'm still waiting for an email response from the emails I sent on 2nd July (5 months) and 26th November (a week), but they can respond to a Google Review within 4 hours! (I assume that council made them put in basketball courts but its really not something the owner/management cares about at all.)

It is good and quality court . We got excellent playing experience over there, it deserve to be recommended👍👍

Great new pickleball courts, easy to book and access. We had a ball and will be regulars, back again to play tennis too.
