About SPORTS POINT - Altona North
This multi-sport venue in Altona North offers pickleball courts alongside badminton and table tennis facilities. The courts have good lighting and are well-maintained, making it a solid option for players in Melbourne's western suburbs. Staff are helpful and friendly, and there's plenty of onsite parking available.
The venue is open weekday evenings from 5pm to 11pm, with longer weekend hours starting at 8am. You'll find equipment available for hire and sports gear for sale on-site. Sessions typically cost around $10, with additional fees for ball and paddle hire if needed.
Located on McArthurs Road, it's easy to find and sits near the Kororoit Creek Trail. While the courts can get a bit close together during busy times, it's a convenient spot for western suburbs players looking for regular pickleball action.

Nice place with good lighting and well-maintained courts. They have decent rackets, lots of shoes and equipment for sale, and even pickleball courts along with badminton. Great spot to play and shop.

Love the fact there is Pickleball is becoming popular on Melbourne’s Western Suburbs, however this place isn’t one I would recommend to anyone. Let’s start with the poorly coordinated marketing with it’s false advertising. The Open Sports app states the sessions are free, however when arriving, the reception staff states it costs $10 and additional payment for balls and paddle hire. Poor quality courts with dead spots all over the court. Courts are too close to each other and not enough lighting. Better options to play pickleball include Altona, Ravenhall and Braybrook.

This review is about the upkeep of the entrance to the stadium, car park area and recycling. For those who don't know the stadium's location, it is the last building before entering the Kororoit Creek Trail walk. Before you enter the beautiful trail, the car park to the stadium is on your right. It is littered with rubbish, plastic water bottles and wrappers that often find their way to the park. The surrounding area that belongs to the stadium is occasionally mowed, but you can see broken banners, damaged drain covers, etc, and more litter around the site. During bin day, the public can witness the business putting absolutely no effort into recycling. Leaving their recycling bins on the nature strips post-pick-up day allows the public to throw in whatever they find on the trail. I hope that whoever owns this business reads this review and takes notice. Your business should be your pride and joy, inside and out. Please clean it up! UPDATE 23/05/24 The litter in the car park has been cleaned up. It's not perfect, there's still small rubbish visible to a naked eye, but an improvement nevertheless.
