About The Pickleball Hive
The Pickleball Hive runs sessions almost every day of the week at Matthew Flinders school grounds in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast. Sessions cover a wide range of formats, from the Social Swarm (a rotating round-robin open to all levels) through to DUPR-rated competitive nights and a season-long team league on Tuesdays.
New players start with The Hive Intro, a capped beginner session of up to 8 people that runs Thursday evenings, Saturday and Sunday mornings. After completing the intro, players can progress into New Bee sessions with a coach-led skill focus in the first hour and social play in the second. A Drill and Play session on weekends targets novice to upper-intermediate players wanting to sharpen specific techniques.
Paddles are provided free for the first three sessions and available to hire for $4 per session after that. The club also has a pro shop selling paddles, including locally made Six Zero paddles. All bookings go through Hive Sports Podplay; check there for current pricing and session availability.
