About Deloraine Community Complex

Set on Alveston Drive in the Tasmanian town of Deloraine, this council-run community complex pairs indoor sports courts with a stadium, an auditorium, a meeting room and a kitchen, making it a flexible hub for both sport and local events. Pickleball arrived here through a launch run by Pickleball Tasmania, with walk-in social play offered at a low per-player rate, and the venue now appears on Tasmanian pickleball court directories. The two indoor courts are the most relevant spaces for paddle play, providing a sheltered surface that suits casual sessions regardless of the weather outside. The complex is managed by Meander Valley Council and keeps long daily opening hours, so it can accommodate a range of session times. Free parking, toilets and wheelchair access make it straightforward to visit, and the building is bookable through the council's online system for groups wanting dedicated court time. Players new to the sport are welcomed at social sessions, and the relaxed format is a good fit for beginners as well as returning regulars. Anyone planning a visit should check current session days and any walk-in fee in advance, since community pickleball schedules can change from season to season.
