Now trading as The Courtyard, this outdoor pickleball venue is located on Lambton Road in Broadmeadow, one of the few dedicated outdoor pickleball options in the Newcastle area. Nets are permanently installed and well-maintained, and the venue is open seven days a week with extended hours on Fridays until 10:30pm.

Unfortunately the courts here are not the even tennis hardcourt surface with predictable bounces that you may be used to. The balls slid quite a bit with a Vulcan ball I had. It was better with the ball they provided which was a type I'm…
