This review is for the gym specifically. Good facilities although some of the exercise equipment isn’t working as it should (the cross trainers have a weird glitch sometimes where they appear to have a mind of their own it’s bizarre) but the weights equipment is all nice and new and they have just enough for the average gym goer to not get bored / vary the routine. The staff are kind and it’s sufficiently air conditioned. Facilities are clean and well-maintained.

Granted I ordered an odd hot drink at the Grind cafe in this centre. It was a large hot almond milk with a dash of honey and I get it is probably hard to work out the price. But the cashier said oh that will be $8??????????? I said no thanks and on my travels I ended up at Hobart Deli Same drink $3.30 which is what I usually pay as there is no coffee in the drink as I cant drink coffee because of a heart issue How did they get to $8 when even a coffee doesnt cost that??? So very annoying

Had a pleasant experience. It’s a free wifi zone. We can BYOD or use library computers.

★☆☆☆☆ Absolutely Disappointed – Do NOT Book for Your Wedding or Event If you care even slightly about your music, atmosphere, or the overall vibe of your event – DO NOT book The Rise Maylands. They will ruin it. You will pay a fee $$$$ for a venue, and yet they refused to allow our professional DJ to use their own speaker system. Instead, we were forced to use the venue’s outdated, crackling excuse of a sound system – honestly, it sounds like a 1900s radio. The bass was non-existent, the volume was weak, and the clarity was shocking. Imagine trying to dance or enjoy your special night with sound cutting in and out or muffled like it’s coming through a tin can. We tried to reason with them, but they were completely inflexible and dismissive. What’s the point of hiring a great DJ if the venue forces them to work with garbage equipment? This isn’t just a minor issue – music sets the tone for an entire event, and The Rise Maylands killed the vibe. For a venue that charges this much, the least they can do is either invest in a modern sound system or allow professionals to bring their own. Save yourself the regret. Look elsewhere unless you’re throwing a silent disco.
