About Port Stephens Pickleball Club
Port Stephens Pickleball Club runs sessions across multiple locations in the Nelson Bay area, including outdoor courts at Tomaree Sports Complex and indoor courts at Tomaree High School. This gives players options in all weather, with outdoor morning sessions and indoor evening sessions running through most days of the week.
The program covers a range of skill levels. Monday mornings are for experienced and competitive players, Tuesday mornings cater to lower-intermediate players, and Friday mornings feature coached skills and drills sessions run by Level 1 coaches. Social play runs on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons indoors and on Saturday afternoons outdoors as well. Sunday mornings are held at Fingal Bay Tennis Club and are limited to 23 players.
All bookings are made through the OpenSports platform, which is also where you pay for sessions. A 12-hour cancellation policy applies to Friday Skills and Drills. The club moved fully to this system in January 2025, so walk-ins are not the standard way to join a session.
